The Dryatech consortium focuses on genetically enhancing plants and animals to increase their utility. Both as cultivated crops or farm animals, as well as more esoteric applications. Dryatech was formed by a group of seven Veolian companies that petitioned the emperor for support in their endeavour to create a new genetics consortium that could compete on Union scale.

The current director of the Dryatech consortium is Iaat Vyapar. Iaat Vyapar has, through economic manoeuvring, virtually guaranteed that the Dryatech Consortium remains firmly in the grasp of House Iaat, even though it started out as a cross-house consortium.
